Reverend Robert J. Kaslyn, SJ, member of the Canon Law Society of America and an Associate Professor and former Dean of the School of Canon Law at The Catholic University of America, passed into eternal rest on March 13, 2019.
Father Kaslyn was a member of the Northeast Province of the Society of Jesus. Ordained to the priesthood in 1985, he earned his licentiate (1990) and doctorate (1993) in canon law from Saint Paul University in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Father Kaslyn joined the faculty at Catholic University in 2001 and served as Dean from 2009 to 2016.
His service to the Canon Law Society of America was notable; Father Kaslyn offered numerous presentations at annual CLSA conventions, including a 2017 seminar on “Current Priestly Formation: Status quæstionis.” He recently concluded a term as a member of the Committee on Research and Development.

A viewing will be held on Monday evening, March 18th, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Wolfington Hall, the Jesuit Residence at Georgetown University, with a Vigil Prayer Service beginning at 7:30 pm.
On Tuesday, March 19th, the Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at Holy Trinity Church, Georgetown, at 10:30 am. A viewing, beginning at 9:30 am, will precede this mass.
Burial will follow at the Georgetown Jesuit Cemetery on the Georgetown University campus.
