Reverend Monsignor Tomás Marín, a priest of the Archdiocese of Miami and a member of the Canon Law Society of America, passed into eternal rest on December 28, 2018.

Msgr. Marín earned his licentiate degree in canon law from The Catholic University of America in 1993. He was a member of the Committee on Clergy from 2011-2016, chairing the committee from 2014 until 2016. He served the Archdiocese of Miami in numerous roles, including his position as Chancellor from 1995 to 2005, his work as a defender of the bond and judge in the Metropolitan Tribunal, and various pastoral ministries. Msgr. Marín was named the founding pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Doral, Florida, where he served for nine years from 2001 until 2010. Most recently, he had been serving as the pastor of Saint Augustine Parish and Catholic Student Center in Coral Gables, Florida.

A viewing has been scheduled for Friday, January 4, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m., at St. Augustine Church in Coral Gables, with a prayer service at 8:00 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 5, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Doral, with burial afterward.
