SPU Legal Education Program

Saint Paul University (Ottawa, Ontario) announces its LEGAL EDUCATION program for present and future leaders of religious institutes/societies of apostolic life and their lay collaborators, scheduled for 12-15 June 2017 at SPU. This updated/revised program offers instruction in the contemporary context on the main aspects of canon law and certain aspects of civil law affecting institutes/societies. This year (the first of the three years of the program) addresses the following topics:
Community
Vows and patrimony
Rights of individuals
Consecrated life
Separation
New forms of consecrated life
New communities and their mission
Participants are able to take part in the entire LEGAL EDUCATION program on campus or at a distance, and they can elect to follow the program in English or in French. Individuals may take one, two, or all three years of the formation program. Academic credits are available through SPU.
