This initial webinar is focused upon an introduction to penal law and penal processes in the Roman Catholic Church. It will give a very brief historical background and describe some of the basic topics of importance in the Church’s penal processes as found in the Code of Canon Law and other pontifical documents. These basic topics will be addressed in greater depth in subsequent webinars. This first webinar will serve to give a helpful orientation to the entire topic of penal law and penal process in the Church.
