The president of The Catholic University of America, Very Rev. David M. O’Connell, C.M., announced today that he has appointed Rev. Robert. J. Kaslyn, S.J., dean of the School of Canon Law, effective May 1, 2009.
Msgr. Michael Minehan, died on November 25, 2008 from complications of hepatits; he was 55 years old. Msgr. Minehan was parochial vicar in various parishes, a judge on the tribunal of the Diocese of Syracuse, Judicial Vicar, and chancellor of the Diocese of Syracuse. He was pastor of St. Joseph's Church in Lafayette. Upon leaving his post as chancellor in 2004 he became pastor at St. Mary's, Cortland.
Msgr. Minehan was survived by his sister and two nephews and two neices. Please remember Msgr. Minehan and his family in your prayers and Masses.
The boards of directors of the Legal Resource Center for Religious (LRCR) and the National Association for Treasurers of Religious (NATRI) are pleased to announce the combining of their two organizations into one new organization effective January 1, 2009. The organization will be known as The Resource Center for Religious Institutes (RCRI).
